Dancing in the Street was written in 1964 by William "Mickey" Stevenson, Ivy Jo Hunter and Marvin Gaye and first recorded by Martha and the Vandellas. It is undoubtedly one of Motown's signature songs. "The Tears of a Clown (1967) was a major hit for Smokey Robinson & the Miracles. Finishing the selection is the Four Tops 1966 hit Reach Out.
