Sea Mist was written in February 2021 shortly after I started to live close by the sea at Lancing. The endlessly changing sea remains a fascination and Sea Mist came out of the ambiguity of the winter sea with focus softened by the mist that gathered and clung to the coast on some days.was written just after a close friend died. It was cathartic really, just written to reflect the release from pain to peace. It fits the expressive style and power of the solo trombone.
