At the Woodchopper's Ball was composed in 1939 by Joe Bishop and Woody Herman. It was the Woody Herman Orchestra's biggest hit and the most popular composition of either composer, achieving a million record sales. This arrangement was made to feature some of the soloists in the Central Band of the RAF.
