This enduringly popular tune was written by James Last in 1977 for the Romanian pan flute player Gheorghe Zamfir. In 1979 it was used as the theme song for the television series The Gold of the Desert (Golden Soak) and in 2004 Quentin Tarantino used it in the soundtrack and closing credits for his film Kill Bill: Vol 1. This arrangement features the pan flute with band accompaniment.
