The dreamlike quality of Debussy’s 1890 piano piece is emphasised by the way the oboe solo lines weave in and out of the texture. This arrangement was originally written for the RAF Massed Bands Tour 2000.
More recently it was performed in the music before the Service at The National Service of Thanksgiving to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Her Majesty the Queen at St Paul’s Cathedral on 5th June 2012.
