Teddy Bears' Picnic

Wind Band

Programme Item

Light Piece

The melody for this children’s song was composed in 1907 by American John Walter Bratton. Words were added in 1932 by Irishman Jimmy Kennedy and it is thought that a small wood near his home in Taunton, Somerset provided the inspiration.

This arrangement is a straightforward transcription for wind band and was made for the 2006 ‘Party at the Palace’.
