This is the central movement of a larger work entitled 'Scenes from Modern Life', a suite depicting various aspects of contemporary existence.

This quiet and impressionistic music is all about cloud shapes gently forming and then merging and shifting. It has a floating, meditative quality which seeks to capture the essence of this feature of the natural world.
